DDGS and corn are at price parity this week, both at about **$181/ton**. On a cost-per-pound, dry-matter basis, DDGS scores energy at **97% of corn's cost per lb of TDN** and protein at **91% of soybean meal's cost per lb of crude protein**. - **Hominy feed:** $0.076/lb TDN, 65% of corn (dry-matter basis, FOB plant). Cheapest energy on the board.
- **Soybean hulls** at $0.105/lb TDN, 89% of corn; **rice bran** at $0.111/lb TDN, 95% of corn. Both on a dry-matter basis.
- **Sunflower meal:** $0.266/lb crude protein, 71% of soybean meal. Protein board leader; nutrient value is a book figure from published feed-composition tables.
- **Feather meal:** $0.276/lb crude protein, 74% of soybean meal. Second on the protein board.
- **Corn benchmark** holds at about $181/ton (plant input cost). USDA ERS's Aug. 14 Feed Grains Outlook lowered 2026/27 ending stocks 3.5 million MT to 42 million on higher export demand. Harvest-season new-crop supply is the near-term counterweight.
- **Soybean meal benchmark** holds at about $358/ton FOB. USDA ERS's Aug. 14 Oil Crops Outlook raised 2026/27 ending stocks 10 million bushels to 320 million on record production of 4.52 billion bushels.
